residents of new katamansoa, a suburb of ashaley botwe in accra, are appealing to city authorities to expedite action on the completion of a drainage system in the area.

they fear, failure to complete the drains would erode further roads in the area.

this bridge is the only one serving residents of ashaley botwe, new katamanso.

the hundreds of residents who use this bridge have to walk steadily to prevent a fall.

top on the concern list is the safety of these children.

residents say, it becomes difficult to cross the river to other communities any time there is a heavy down pour.

aside the drainage, the roads are untarred making it unmotorable when it rians.

another worrying factor is the frequent power surge.

there is only one transformer in the area.

it catches fire any time there is an overload causing damage to several property.

residents maintain, several appeals to rectify the problem had fallen on deaf ears.

in a related development, residents of japan motors, also in ashaley botwe are still battling with dust.

UNSAFE WATER @NKRUMKROM

BUI PART ONE

VT trail tests have began on the generation of first power from the bui hydro electric power project. In this report, daniel lartey, highlights preparations towards the evacuation of 133 megawatts of power by the end of april 2013.
