motorists and  pedestrians continue to flout road safety regulations on the n1 highway, here in accra despite the media spotlight the stretch has been thrown into recently.

remedial work highlighted in media reports is yet to receive the needed attention.

our reporter daniel lartey remains  on the stretch and has filed this report.

 over 50 lives have been lost through road accidents since the n1 highway  was opened to traffic.

structural defects, even on the footbridge is another worry to pedestrians.

another concern is the size and steepness of the pedestrian walkway from bentu junction to nii boi junction.

again, residents fear a  slip could cause serious injuries.

this taxi driver whose car has developed a fault had no  warning triangle to ward off  oncoming vehicles.

UNSAFE WATER @NKRUMKROM

BUI PART ONE

VT trail tests have began on the generation of first power from the bui hydro electric power project. In this report, daniel lartey, highlights preparations towards the evacuation of 133 megawatts of power by the end of april 2013.
