for four years, they have waited on authorities to roof the only structure serving the primary and junior high school.

from asikasu in the west akyem municipality of the eastern region, daniel lartey reports, students  continue to study in a dilapidated structure serving as classrooms.

the extent of neglect is apparent.

pupils attending asikasu r/c primary and jhs look on helplessly as the building meant to accomodate them is neglected

both teachers and pupils are greeted every morning  with animal droppings.

after lessons, animals take over the classrooms leaving it in a mess.

though we visited the school on a week end, we chanced on these pupils who lived close to the school.

anytime clouds gather, classes end abruptly.

we gathered that these rotten wood were supposed to be used for fencing.

Obviously, state resources have been wasted. 

the kindergarten structure at the asikasu methodist primary and jhs is not better off.

urgent attention is certainly needed to ensure a conducive environment for teaching and learning.

UNSAFE WATER @NKRUMKROM

BUI PART ONE

VT trail tests have began on the generation of first power from the bui hydro electric power project. In this report, daniel lartey, highlights preparations towards the evacuation of 133 megawatts of power by the end of april 2013.
