construction works on the switchyard and control building is nearing completion.

power generation set in the left bank power station has been connected to four transmission lines.

workers were busily putting finishing touches to other transmission lines except, the bui kintampo line which is fully installed.

we followed to the diversion point of all four lines heading to sawla, techiman, kintampo and sunyani.

the bui  to kintampo transmission lines is expected to augment the national grid with a 133 megawatts of power.

it stretches from the bui dam site through the outskirt of kintampo township and eventually ends at a gridco substation also at kintampo.

according to engineers, the line will reinforce the gridco distribution system when power is evacuated from the bui power dam, by the end of april.

Chief executive officer of the authority, explained  the progress of work.

BUI PART ONE

VT trail tests have began on the generation of first power from the bui hydro electric power project. In this report, daniel lartey, highlights preparations towards the evacuation of 133 megawatts of power by the end of april 2013.
